For about the last 20 years, Cesar has been developing a body of animal sculptures crafted from plants, fruits, seeds and dry organic materials that he collects from all over Mexico , Canada  and other parts of the world. He's collected materials are the skin ,feather ’s  and scales of this vegetable taxidermy. 

 

The technique of recreating animals and birds is a constant metaphor, in the fragility of life and the planet and the species, at the same time it represents the transformation of plants into animals, a constant transformation between death and life.
