Painter, sculptor, artesian and musician. 

 

Cesar c. Cordoba (1984). 

Artist originated in Tlalnepantla Estado de Mexico and based in Canada since 2017.

 Began his artistic life early, exploring painting and drawing and hand crafts . As a child he began to teach himself how to work in various media, later attending workshops at various cultural institutions in Mexico City  to add to his experimentation and fusion in art techniques .

 

Cesar's techniques are born in Mexico land of art traditions, including Oils and acrylics , ceramics, well known for developed  and created sculpture with plants ,explored  woven arts, wood, metal, and paper , lino cut and scratch , recycled materials ,music , drawing .  Develop with the years series of art disciplines connected and mixed , as a the exploration in mechanical puppets , music soundscapes , sound design , stop motion animation  .  He's been exhibiting his artistic work in solo and group exhibitions in Mexico and Canada. Cesar's work tends into a few distinct streams mixing disciplines and dissolving the border between Art and crafts . 

 

 Painting

Cesar's paintings inhabit a surreal world where fantasy and reality mix, lit up by colour and depth. People and natural subjects are both examined, with an overarching theme of linking human nature to its environment and dreams using distinta mediums as acrylics , oils , lino cut , among others.

 

Organic Sculpture

For about the last 20 years, Cesar has been developing a body of animal sculptures crafted from plants, fruits, seeds and dry organic materials that he collects from all over Mexico , Canada  and other parts of the world. He's collected materials are the skin ,feather ’s  and scales of this vegetable taxidermy. 

 

Music 

Since 2009 Cesar has been in touch with sound experimentation , music ,  and sound design ,using keyboards , piano , accordion and synthesizers  Collaborated with different. types of musicians and artist in performance , theatre , and short-film . 

A self-taught musician, develops his technique of experimentation and contact with musicians from different currents in Mexico and Canada.
