El artista Cesar Correa trabaja con materiales distintos, incluyendo esculturas orgánicas conscientemente amalgamadas con el mundo natural, piezas pictóricas con temas políticos y sociales e imágenes de algunas calles de la ciudad de México. Sus matices juegan con la relación entre luz y oscuridad. Más aún su arte se enfoca en el medio ambiente y en una profunda reflexión sobre la naturaleza humana y su relación con el mundo natural.
Desde Niño desarrolla el dibujo y la pintura con un aprendizaje autodidacta , la experimentación y el juego genera una formación artística múltiple , al crecer aprende en diferentes talleres y casas de cultura en la ciudad de México y desarrolla técnicas tradicionales fusionadas con cerámica , cesteria , pintura, madera, metal, vidrio, papel, entre otras;
Es en esta experimentación accidental , desarrolla esculturas de animales con una técnica a base de plantas, semillas, cascaras y material recolectado de diferentes lugares de México , la recolección de plantas y la técnica la desarrolla desde hace 14 años .
Cesar F. Correa Cordoba was born in Mexico city in May of 1984.
Painter, sculptor, artesian and musician.
As a child he began to develop his talents; exploring drawing and painting techniques, experimenting in his own artistic self-education, and playing in different mediums. He attended different workshops and learnt in cultural centres in Mexico city. He began to use techniques fused with various traditional mediums; ceramics, weaving, paints, wood, metal, glass, and paper, among others.
In his process of experimentation, his style grew with a focus on organic sculptures, using a technique incorporating plants, seeds, peels, and natural materials collected from different regions of Mexico. This process has evolved over the past 14 years. These sculptures are a commentary on the consciousness embedded in the natural world.
Featured artist César Correa works in multiple media, including organic sculptures as commentary on the consciousness embedded in the natural world, pictorial pieces of social and political themes, and sketches of life on the streets of Mexico City. His “light painting” plays on the relationship between darkness and light. Overall, his work tends to focus on his environment and a deep reflection of human nature and its relationship to the natural world.
